Crimson purple leaves have a spinach-like taste. Much slower to bolt to seed than spinach. Good for baby greens too. Plants can reach 120-180cm (4-6ft) in height. In any batch of Red Fire Orach grown from seed, a small number of green leaved plants are possible. Matures in 45 days.

Direct sow in a sunny site every two weeks starting in late-spring through to mid-summer. Seed typically germinates in 10-14 days. Keep soil evenly moist. Harvest young leaves once plant reaches 20cm (8in) in height. Pinch flower buds to encourage branching.
